ABOUT OUR FUND

The Baltimore Abortion Fund seeks to make safe abortion procedures available to all Baltimore and Maryland residents, regardless their personal income.

Nearly all abortion funds are grassroots organizations that work directly with those who face obstacles to abortion. The money we raise allows Baltimore and Maryland residents access safe medical procedures they would otherwise not be able to afford.

More often than not, we are the only allies people have as they try to raise money to pay for an abortion. While abortion is legal, often the cost of the procedure is still out of reach for many, and health insurance coverage falls embarrassingly short.

Last year, we didn't just reach out goal, we kicked butt! This year our goal is $18,000. With 12 teams, individual goals are just $500! We know BAF will hit our goal again this year, with help from our awesome supporters!

Event Updates

We've added lanes for 2016!

Last year, we totally bowled a strike with BAF's Bowl-A-Thon! This year we're going for a second. Our event goal is $18,000, and we know we'll hit that with your support.

The BAF joins Abortion Funds across the nation in the biggest fundraiser of the year. Help us begin 2016 with a hearty budget, and the ability to help Baltimore residents afford safe reproductive health care.

We've got Team spaces open! With 6 lanes this year, up to 12 teams can play!

Our Bowl-A-Thon will take place April 24th at Mustang Alley's (1300 Bank Street, Baltimore) from 2pm to 5pm. Lanes and shoe rental will be provided, along with small hors d'oeuvres. The bar will be open, and drinks and additional food will be available to purchase from Mustang Alley's.

We will be able to support up to 12 teams of 4 to 6 members. We are asking each team set a fundraising goal of at least $2,500 with personal goals around $625 per person. Can't wait to see some of our awesome teams return from last year, and meet the new teams for 2016!

WHY WE BOWL

Funds hear firsthand how hard it can be to pay for an abortion. We're bowling to raise money to help those in need today, and we're committed to building a more just world where everyone, regardless of income, can get all of the care they need without stigma or shaming.
