ABOUT OUR FUND

The Eastern Massachusetts Abortion Fund (we call it the EMA Fund) is volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization that works to ensure that all people living in or traveling to eastern Massachusetts have access to abortion.

We know that if you don’t have money, abortion might as well be illegal. Access to abortion is a matter of social justice, reproductive justice, economic justice, fairness, and human rights.

The EMA Fund provides people with financial counseling and with money for their abortions. We help them get onto MassHealth quickly or find doctors that will take their insurance. We negotiate with abortion providers for discounts, and we help callers pay for bus or train tickets, childcare, and translation services. Join us!

WHY WE BOWL

Funds hear firsthand how hard it can be to pay for an abortion. We're bowling to raise money to help those in need today, and we're committed to building a more just world where everyone, regardless of income, can get all of the care they need without stigma or shaming.
