What’s the DC Abortion Fund? We’re an all-volunteer non-profit that believes your access to abortion shouldn’t depend on your wallet. So we raise money to help people in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond afford their abortion care. Last year, this meant granting an average of $170 per patient. We did that nearly 1,000 times in 2015.

More often than not, we are the only allies people have as they try to raise money to pay for an abortion. We are also at the forefront of a dynamic and growing movement that honors the leadership and voices of low-income people, young people, and people of color. We welcome anyone who wants to join us in our cause.

What’s a Game-a-Thon? It’s our annual fundraiser. It helps us make sure that people who need abortion care don't have to roll the dice and hope they can get the care they need. Gather some friends, ask folks for some donations, then come play some board games with us on April 30 in DC. The money raised at this year's Game-a-Thon will go directly back to the patients we serve. It accounts for about a quarter of our budget every year. Let's see if we can blow past our goal and make choice a reality for even more people this year!

What’s the deal with all the bowling stuff on this page? Nationally, other abortion funds are raising money for the patients they help, too! And they’re doing it on the lanes. We’re a little different in DC, so we’re takin’ our fight to the table. And it’s just as much fun, and just as important to our cause: Providing abortion care to people who need it, but couldn’t access it without some help.
