We are a group of people who help pay for abortions. The Texas Equal Access Fund believes that the right to reproductive choice is denied when people are unable to access abortion services. Restrictions on abortion access and funding are discriminatory because they especially burden the poor, the young, the rural, and people of color. We oppose all efforts to restrict abortion rights and are committed to fighting for access to abortion for all. We believe that abortion is a fundamental feature of health care, and that it is the responsibility of government to fund abortions for low-income people. However, in the absence of government funding, we believe it is our duty to act now to support those who want abortions and cannot afford them. 

We are a grassroots organization that work directly with those who face obstacles to abortion. The money we raise helps pay for an abortion, travel to a clinic, or for an overnight stay in a motel near a clinic.

More often than not, we are the only allies people have as they try to raise money to pay for an abortion. We are also at the forefront of a dynamic and growing movement that honors the leadership and voices of low-income women, young women, and women of color. Join us!
