UPDATE!
All folks giving $100 or more between now and Sunday will receive an original piece of art created by Repeal Hyde Art Project founder Megan Smith! Take a sneak peek of the piece here. From Megan: "The finished product will not be available online but will have some words on it about being an abortion funding superstar."

Abortion funds change lives.
Since 2011, the GA Reproductive Justice Access Network (GRJAN) has helped more than 140 low-income folks in the southeast change the trajectory of their lives by giving grants toward the cost of abortion care. To others, our tireless volunteers have provided rides to the clinic, a place to stay before and after the procedure, help purchasing aftercare prescriptions, hygiene products and food, and most importantly, compassionate, nonjudgmental support.
Because of unfair and unnecessary laws, safe and legal abortions can be out of reach of those who don't have the money to pay for them. GRJAN clients have told us, over and over, how access to abortion has impacted their lives:
"I will be able to work, start back to school, and support the kids I already have."
"If I was not able to get this abortion, I would have ended up homeless."
"Amniocentesis and MRI discovered my daughter has no right leg, left club foot, and her entire spine is exposed. She would be forever paralyzed. I have a 3 year old son and this abortion has impacted our lives greatly. Without it I wouldn't be able to care for my son the way he deserves."
This year, I'm hoisting my toddler on my back, putting on funny shoes and hurling a hilariously small ball at some pins because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortions they need, regardless of how much money they have. I'm bowling for everyone who's had to decide between paying rent and having their abortion. I'm bowling for the client who endured a two hour bus ride after hir appointment because the clinic was so far from home. I'm bowling for my daughter. I'm bowling for them^.
Join me.
In solidarity,
April
