WHY I'M BOWLING

Oh, sorry about that. Grumpy cat woke up on the wrong side of the bed, again. But speaking of being grumpy, I'm pretty pissed off myself. Did you know that only 17 states cover the cost of abortion care for those who otherwise receive their health care at no cost?  And even in those states, there are many who are left behind and are unable to pay for the medical care they need. 

I'm invoking my inner bowler this year to raise money for my local abortion fund, the New York Abortion Access Fund, at their 6th Annual Bowl-A-Thon because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortions they need, regardless of how much money they have.

Because of unfair and unnecessary laws (cue the Hyde Amendment among others), safe and legal abortions can be out of reach of those who don't have the money to pay for them. I don't think that's right, so I'm doing something about it. I'm bowling to break down barriers to abortion access.
