WHY I'M BOWLING

Abortion care is so important to me because I believe that every person has the right to choose what happens to their body, despite how much an abortion costs, or how much money they have raised. I believe in a world where abortion care is accessible and funding is widely available to those who need it.

As a clinic worker, I cannot tell you how many people have to choose between saving for an abortion or buying groceries for their family. Or how many times people have told me they will be sleeping in their car, or choosing between having an abortion or paying for child care, or that they have taken on sex work to fund their abortion. I cannot tell you how many times people have paid for their abortions in crinkled one dollar bills. I believe that we should not have to make such drastic choices just to pay for basic health care. 

When I hear these stories, I get angry. I get sad. I feel determined. And while I cannot singlehandedly fix our broken healthcare system, I CAN raise money for those in need.  

Please help me to meet our goals so that more people can have access to abortion care!
