WHY I'M BOWLING

Most of you know how important this issue is to me and my family. After growing up in the abortion clinic my mom worked at in Atlanta, GA, working as a hotline operator and case manager at the National Abortion Federation for years and years, as a counselor at a Planned Parenthood in DC, and as a woman living in this world...I have met and spoken with all types of people who find themselves in need of an abortion but cannot afford one in the United States. Some are my friends. Some are people who I've never met. Their stories are forever etched in my mind.

1 in 3 women will have an abortion before the age of 45.

Abortion is one of the most common, safest, medical procedure in the country and yet federal medicaid and many health insurance plans don't cover it based on purely political and moral grounds. NOT science, medicine, and evidence.

I'm bowling because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortions they need, regardless of how much money they have.

I'm bowling to break down barriers to abortion access.

I'm bowling for abortion access because I believe that women's lives matter.

I'm bowling because I think every woman deserves to shape her own life.

Most of all, I'm bowling because I trust women. And I know you do, too!

I'm lacing up my shoes and polishing my bowling ball to raise money for my local abortion fund, the New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF).

You can help me hit my goal, and together, we can make an immediate difference with real impact.

I support reproductive justice, "the right to have children, not have children, and to parent the children we have in safe and healthy environments."
