WHY I'M BOWLING

Ahh, springtime! The birds are chirping, the trees are blooming, and awesome pro-choice people around the country are ready to bowl for reproductive justice!

The New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF) gives grants to low-income individuals who cannot afford the full cost of an abortion, empowering them to make their own decisions about their families, bodies, and lives.

NYAAF is an all-volunteer, local non-profit that works directly with clinics and patients to guarantee access to reproductive healthcare. While abortion is legal in the US, many obstacles have been erected by Congress and state legislatures that make it difficult for low-income people in particular to access the procedure. And without access, choice means very little.

I am tremendously fortunate to have friends and family who understand why this cause is so important. This is my 6th time participating in this fundraiser - together we have raised thousands of dollars for NYAAF and the DC Abortion Fund over the past few years. Please give what you can - $50, $25, even $10 will make a world of difference.
