It's that time of year again! National Network of Abortion Funds Bowl-A-Thon! What's a Bowl-A-Thon, you ask?
This is the time when reproductive justice advocates across the country join together to raise money for abortion funds in their community. Why are abortion funds so important? Good question!
It all started with the Texas Legislature... 
That's an understatement, Leslie. In 2013, the Texas Legislature passed some of the most restrictive abortion restrictions ever, despite the protests and testimony of thousands of Texans from across the state.
Now, the struggle for abortion access in Texas is harder than ever. With fewer than ten abortion clinics still operating in the state and medically unnecessary obstacles such as wait times, sonograms, and outdated procedures for medical abortion, it is almost impossible for some Texans to access much-needed abortion services.
Actually - what I need from you is much less time intensive and way more important. I need you to donate to my Bowl-A-Thon team today, and together, we can help Texans make the best decisions for their bodies.
Let's channel Leslie Knope's can-do attitude. Help me reach my goal of $1000 - which will help ten Texans who call the Lilith Fund hotline access abortion services in central Texas.
