WHY I'M BOWLING

I'm playing billiards for DCAF because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortions they need, regardless of their life situation or financial status. It is the right of every person to access the medical care they want and need.

Why is the work of the DC Abortion Fund so important? We help ensure every patient in DC, Maryland, and Virginia has the financial means to make the best choice for their lives.

Because without the financial means to access proper medical care, there can be no real choice.

The DC Abortion Fund is an all-volunteer non-profit organization so you can be assured your hard earned dollars go *directly* to the care of our patients.

No one is ever turned away from our help because of their financial or life situation. This makes helping thousands in the DMV quite pricey and we need your help.

Last year, DCAF case managers received calls from over 3,100 patients and provided an average grant of $231. It receives a quarter of its budget from this fundraiser so the importance of raising money from awesome people like yourself cannot be overstated.

As case managers, we hear stories from patients across all walks of life and from every life situation imaginable. From young girls in high school who have to hide their pregnancies to those who are homeless or in domestic violence situations to patients whose health is in jeopardy to mothers who simply cannot afford another child to patients who just choose not to take their pregnancy to term. Our patients come from all over DC, Virginia, and Maryland.

And because Maryland is fortunate enough to have some of the best reproductive laws in the country, we also support those who need to travel to the state for late-term care.

Every dollar counts and every dollar makes a difference.
