WHY I'M BOWLING
I'm playing billiards because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortion care they need, regardless of how much money they have.
Why is donating to the DC Abortion Fund so important? Because of unfair and unnecessary laws, safe and legal abortions can be out of reach of those who don't have the money to pay for them. I don't think that's right, so I'm doing something about it.
DCAF is an all-volunteer organization that provides financial assistance to patients who either live in DC, MD, VA or those who are traveling to DC MD or VA for abortion care. With several DC-area clinics offering 2-trimester procedures we get a lot of calls from patients across the country who not only have the stress of raising enough money for the procedure cost, but also have to fund their travel expenses as well as take time off work and arrange child care in many instances. By donating to DCAF you are not only helping residents of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia but people all across the US who need and deserve health care with dignity.
I'm chalking my cue and racking up to raise money for my local abortion fund. You can help me hit my goal, and together, we can make an immediate difference with real impact.
