The CAIR Project
HELP me REACH MY INDIVIDUAL GOAL of $500
Women’s access to reproductive choices and family planning is essential to women’s equality. Every woman, regardless of socioeconomic and class status deserves to have control over their future.
The CAIR (Community Abortion Information & Resource) Project is dedicated to removing barriers (travel, funding, childcare, etc.) to abortion access for women in need.
Some women are not able to tell their partners who control their bank accounts, some women are mentally ill, some don’t have coverage through their insurance (eg. military service women), some are in isolated or abusive situations. Most are able come up with some money to cover the costs, but need small grants ($250 or less) to cover their full procedure, or travel, or related costs. Here are some of their stories: http://www.cairproject.org/stories/
Women trying to make the best decisions for themselves and their families should not be denied access to this legal medical procedure because of a lack of healthcare coverage or finances. Unfortunately, women are faced with this dilemma all the time which is where you come in.
We, as a community have the power to support organizations like The CAIR Project which is an all volunteer run nonprofit that does on the ground work supporting some of the most marginalized women in need. The money you donate directly affects a woman’s access to control an important part of her life.
Please join me in support of women. Donate what you can, every single dollar counts.
Solidarity,
Megan "Magina Dentata" Murphy
