WHY I'M BOWLING

Hey, y'all! Welcome to my page! Because of the 2015 Bowl-a-Thon, I can talk about two of my greatest passions in life: 

intersectional feminist activism 

and 

Aubrey Drake Graham.

At first glance, I admit it doesn't seem like my musical beloved and my preferred philosophy would be compatible let alone shape the trajectory of my life. HOWEVER, hear me out. 

 FACT 1: Drake is absolutely in love with Nicki Minaj who is the most slept on feminist in the entire world. Onika Tanya Minaj is one of my feminist icons. Like he has an entire verse about how he would be the "first in line" to be with her WHEN SHE CONSENTS. Plus, he wants to "plan" for it (aka get some birth control for him and Onika because he believes in family planning and safe, fun, consensual sex).

FACT 2: Drake adores Houston, Texas so much that June 10 was declared Drake Day! We ALL know why Houston is famous. Cutting edge medical community? Nah. The Rodeo? Boo. The Rockets? TBH who. The Johnson Space Center? Shit, they finna close that thing. HOUSTON IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF BEYONCE GISELLE KNOWLES-CARTER. As we all woke up to know on December 13, 2014, Ms. Knowles-Carter is the most ***flawless feminist who ever graced us mere mortals. Plus, Drake loves her too. 

FACT 3: Drake iconic character, Jimmy, was a progressive character who actively supported those around him. As demonstrated in the episode "I Againist I," Jimmy passed out flyers a seminar on safe sex. Obvi, our boy was a supporter of sex education and safer sex. Additionally, Jimmy is unashamed to defend Marco when the latter character is a victim of a vicious gay bashing. He provides emotional support throughout their entire friendship. James "Jimmy" Brooks was progressive prince and a middle/high school heartthrob. 

Y'ALL FEEL ME NOW?? Drake makes my feminist heart beat. 

So that being said, I'm fundraising to raise money to for the Lilith Fund(!!!!!!) because abortion access in Texas has always been abysmal yet it is somehow getting worse.  

Unlike the solidified queefs that compromise the legislature, the beautiful angels of the Lilith Fund actually believe Texans have the right to quality health care including access to a safe abortion as granted to them by Roe v. Wade. 

The Lilith Fund is an abortion fund that is having a profound impact on our community by providing direct economic assistance to Texans seeking help. The truth is, they can't help everyone and that's a truly sad reality; however, it does not anyone in their organization from continuing their work. 

I am so honored to bowl for these amazing champions of reproductive healthcare with my best friends.
